When it comes to dating there are several mistakes that we make. I’ve been doing much research and getting tons of feed back from both men and women to see where we are going wrong. I just have to say, that it’s really amazing to me just how differently men and women think. Even when it comes down to the simplest of things, we just don’t see or think of things the same way. I guess that’s why we are always hearing that famous quote “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus”. We truly do think, see and feel things differently. In order to have success in dating and in relationships, we need to start getting a better understanding as to the way each other thinks.

Ok so now that I’ve said all that let me tell you the biggest mistake both men and women said they encountered while dating. The biggest mistake people make is (drum roll) over thinking the “relationship”. We need to learn that when we first start dating someone, we need to take it for what it is DATING. What does this mean? It’s not a relationship, it’s not monogamous, they are more then likely dating others and so should you! There’s no point in trying to rush into things. Have fun and take your time getting to know one another.

Lets face it, there is just so much to know about a person. Remember that in the beginning people do their best to cover up all their flaws and baggage. By taking your time simply dating you have a better chance at finding out all the goods before you are too far in and caught up in the relationship. Take your time getting to know them so you can determine whether they are Mr/Mrs.Right or if they are even worthy of being Mr/Mrs.Right Now.

By trying to rush into things you take the risk of sending them running for the hills or getting caught up in an unhealthy relationship. Men are known for not wanting to rush into things, but women seem to be catching on and are just as unwilling to “settle”. Don’t be in such a rush to settle down with someone that you barely even know. If you do, more then likely you’ll end up wasting your time and being left with heart ache. Slow things down and enjoy the dating process of getting to know each other. Remember the saying, “Good things come to those who are patient!”.
