OkCupid.com Quiz Reveals How Singles Feel About Love at the Office

More Than 10,000 People Respond to OkCupid.com’s “Ho for the Holidays” Quiz; 82% would hide an office romance; 72% of women admit they flirt with the boss.

OkCupid.com, the largest free online dating site, today announced the results of a quiz designed to explore how singles feel about dating during the holidays and the acceptable rules of engagement for office romance. The quiz, available at http://www.okcupid.com/holiday, was taken by more than 10,000 OkCupid members and provides the following revelations:

- 45% of OkCupid.com members said they need to be dating someone for at least three months before bringing them to the office holiday party; 12% would bring someone after the first date, if they’re “hot”

- Only 7% said they abstain from alcohol at office parties, while 47% admit to getting “tipsy”

- 51% said they would “lock lips” with a co-worker under the mistletoe, if the person is attractive

- 82% of people said they would hide an office romance from the boss

- 72% of women said they have flirted or used their sexuality to get a better performance review, while 97% of men said they have not

- 16% admit to having participated in a “sex act” in the office, beyond just kissing
When it comes to kissing of a different kind, less than 25% said they plan to buy their boss a holiday gift this year.

“Today’s singles are more open and honest about their views on careers, relationships and sex than ever before,” said Sam Yagan, chief executive officer and co-founder of OkCupid.com. “This quiz reveals how men and women approach relationships and sexuality in the office, and in particular, whether they are a bit more naughty or nice during the holiday season.”
