Twocan.com: Online Dating for People with Herpes (HSV2)
in Online Dating | 1 Comment
Twocan.com (www.Twocan.com) is the first and only dating site created exclusively to help millions of people with HSV2 (herpes). With one year in development and an underlying encryption infrastructure, Twocan.com(TM) launched as the premier website specifically designed to address the absolute concerns of this huge community.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) research statistics point to this disease affecting 1 in 5 Americans − approximately 50-70 million people. The main challenges that people with HSV2 have with respect to dating are exposure of their condition and disclosure of the condition to a dating partner.
“I’m amazed at the lack of attention this group has received considering the massive number of people who have this issue,” says John Colbert of Twocan.com. “The mass majority of this market has been excluded and ignored by existing dating sites because addressing this problem would require a complete re-design of their software.”
On Twocan.com, members can easily search and review other members and safely build relationships without revealing their identity. A built-in communications and messaging system gives people the ability to safely meet and engage in discussions until they are comfortable moving to the next step, which may be sharing personal interests, a photo or video, phone conversation or even meeting in a safe place. I have Herpes and I’m not afraid to say it anymore. It’s taken me a long time, but I’m now comfortable with my condition. Anyway, I’m really happy I came across ICU and Twocan.com because it can be hard to keep relationships once you let the other person know…I really think people at Twocan.com will understand each other way better. I hope to have long-term success there…CS
